ZEN QUEST: Infinite Cycle — Demo
This is a demo of ZEN QUEST: Infinite Cycle. The full version would include 5+ terrain types, 3 hidden rooms, NPC companions, a full Dojo skill tree, deep stat progression, ~40 cycles of gameplay, and 3 new Council NPCs.
You wander into the infamous Lobby. The guild master — Cole — looks at you like he's been expecting you. "Glad you came," he says. "You know what to do."
But do you?
Each cycle might just bring you one step closer to the answer.

This game was built specifically for this jam, so first of all — thank you for playing it.
The PC version was entirely hand-coded. All game mechanics, systems, and logic are human-written. The 3D models/visuals and the mobile port were handled with the help of Claude AI. I'd like to call it AI assisted, instead of AI generated.
The mobile version was made to reach more players, but I'll be honest: the game was developed and tested mostly on PC, with only occasional mobile testing. There may be bugs on mobile I'm not even aware of yet. Play on PC for the most stable experience.
There are a few known minor issues in the demo. They're not game-breaking, and they'll be addressed properly in the full release rather than another 'patched' demo.
Speaking of which — a full release is planned. It's not guaranteed, but the goal is sometime next year. The full game is intended to be fully human-made content, with AI stepping back entirely. This demo is the proof of concept that gets us there.
I hope it meets the jam's spirit as much as I tried to make it meet the rules.
Fun Fact: The game was originally intended to be a Multiplayer Arena kinda thing, but after evaluating my multiplayer skills, i decided to go with a story RPG. Who knows, the full version might have multiplayer. While fairly common in games, creating a multiplayer is a gargantuan task for me (which might be saying something of my skill 😅)
